worn

Off a small country road in western Pennsylvania, I stopped by an old cemetery where many of the gravestone inscriptions were illegible.  Although the chiseled names on the stones had been worn down by the elements, several markers had fresh flowers indicating recent mourners.  Time may dull stone but it seems it cannot erase cherished memories.
